Dr. Stefan Walzer works in the area of payer strategy, pricing, health economics and reimbursement since 2004 and is the founder and CEO of MArS Market Access & Pricing Strategy GmbH (Germany), P&N – Pricing & Negotiations in Health Care Ltd. (Canada) and mAxInsights (The Netherlands). Stefan is also a partner at Tesseract Europe responsible for Market Access in Europe.
He previously worked as a payer consultant for various global pharmaceutical and medical device / diagnostic companies, successfully launching their products across the world. Dr. Walzer was also the Global Payer Strategy Leader for various products and compounds at F. Hoffmann – La Roche AG. Additionally, he has invented the one and only Virtual Reality platform for negotiations with health care payers.
Additionally, he also teaches market access and health technology assessment at the State University of Baden-Wuerttemberg and the University of Applied Sciences Weingarten-Ravensburg (Germany).
Dr. Walzer received a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Tuebingen (Germany), a PhD in Health Economics from the University of Zurich (Switzerland) and a Diploma in Clinical Trials from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (UK). He is co-author of more than 50 peer-reviewed scientific articles and more than 300 scientific abstracts. Furthermore Dr. Walzer is the lead author of the book chapter “Vergütungshöhe und Preissetzung” [Reimbursement value and pricing] in Business Planning in Health Care as well as the editor of the book “Digital Health Care in Germany”. Ron de Graaff LL.M has more than 40 years experience in consulting for Pharmaceutical and Medtech companies. In 1978 he started his career at the Central Organization of Social Dentistry. In 1983 he started at the Dutch umbrella organization of private health insurers. He was responsible for the negotiations with pharmacists, suppliers of medical devices and paramedics.
He is the founder of Seijgraaf in 1985, located in The Netherlands. Furthermore, he is one of the founders of the Agora Network in Dublin and the IHC Consulting company in Switzerland. Ron has focused his professional life on health insurance and health financing issues as well as dental care and reimbursement of medical devices and pharmaceutical products. Over the years he has advised more than 1.000 private and public sector health care providers, insurers and manufacturers of pharmaceuticals and medical devices, giving advice in the field of strategy and policy structures, related to and resulting from the finance structures of the Dutch healthcare system (over 2,500 projects). His past duties involved: Chairman of Umbrella Organization of Medical Technology in the Netherlands (SOMT) Chairman of the dentists organization ANT, Chairman of a regional Patient Organization, Chairman of a home healthcare organization and various advisory roles of the Dutch Healthcare Authority and the National Reimbursement Authority.
Furthermore he is the co-founder of Tesseract, a company for organizing European market access: customs, fiscal, logistics, setting up companies, HRM, CE, distributors search and reimbursement in one hand.
